Broken or Dilated Capillaries Treatment
Thread veins or spider veins are small blood vessels (capillaries) that have become permanently visible through the skin. They tend to branch and give a spidery pattern, hence their name. They may run in your family, or have appeared due to hormonal changes, injury or exposure to the elements. IPL Skin Rejuvenation can effectively treat thread veins on the face, chest and upper body. It can be less effective on the legs, and so your therapist will assess your suitability before any treatment.
How does it work?
The Intense Pulsed Light with SmartPulse™ technology delivers precise light through several layers of skin, which generates heat when it’s absorbed by the targeted tissue. This corrects imperfections in the skin without damaging surrounding tissue. At the same time, a real-time cooling system works to keep your skin protected from the heat so you’re comfortable throughout the treatment.
How much does IPL for Broken Capillaries cost?
Most clients receive around 6-8 treatments, for best results. Sessions are usually performed 4-6 weeks apart. Is the treatment suitable for me?
Contraindications include, but are not limited to: diseases or conditions that can be stimulated by or sensitive to light, a current diagnosis or history of cancer, and if you have recently had excessive exposure to sun or have fake-tanned skin. A patch test and consultation is required before your treatments, so if you have not had one, please book in for that in the first instance.
