"I received such a warm welcome when I attended my appointment. Mr Lowrie made the procedure very easy to go through, I did have a bit of nerves for receiving the local anaesthetic in my forehead but I had nothing to be nervous off, I had worse at the dentist. The procedure went so well and I’m happy with my results, even tho I don’t have my stitches out yet."

How does the Minor Skin Surgery process work?

Step 1: Book your consultation or complete the form below

Before surgery, every client must first book their consultation. We offer a full consultation service, where Mr Lowrie will ask questions about your skin lesion, including how long you have had the lesion, if it has ever increased in size, and how it affects your daily life. He will also ask you about your medical history and your past and current medication.

Mr Lowrie will explain the procedure to you and discuss whether there is a likelihood of recurrence or scarring. He will also let you know how much the procedure is going to cost in total.

Step 2: Your Skin Surgery Treatment

If you choose to go ahead with the procedure, we will arrange an appointment time that suits you at our clinic in Perth, Scotland. Mr Lowrie uses a range of surgical techniques to remove skin lesions including excision and cautery. The procedure sometimes involves stitches. Mr Lowrie will advise you when to make a follow-up appointment to have the stitches removed.

See above for a guide on prices. However, we will advise you as to the total cost you will incur for the procedure during your consultation with us.

Step 3: After your surgery

After your appointment, if mutually agreed with you, we may send your GP a written notification of the procedure. Although it is unlikely that your lesion represents a danger to your health, we may send it to the laboratory for analysis. You will also be provided with wound care information so you can take care of the area until it heals.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us directly at any time.
