RosaceaTreatment in Perth
Rosacea is a relatively common skin condition affecting the face, and leading to fixed or recurrent redness in the cheeks and nose. Alongside this, people may experience pronounced blood vessels, swelling, pustules and spots. Over time, the redness can become permanent and it can be difficult to treat.
The exact cause of Rosacea is unknown but it can be precipitated by sunlight, hot drinks, alcohol, emotion and the incorrect use of topical steroids. This suggests it may be linked to a lack of normal homeostatic control of the blood vessels supplying the pilosebaceous follicle.
Your General Practitioner or Dermatologist may prescribe topical or oral treatments. We can offer adjuncts to your prescribed treatment, or perhaps an alternative route if you feel you have exhausted your other options. Our Clinical Director, Dr Langford, is both an Aesthetic Practitioner and a GP; and will be on hand to advise you on a treatment programme if you require further guidance.
